Wicked Addictions
Welcome to Wicked Addictions. I am writing a book based on experiences in my life. This site is an extension of the book and the process of writing, and my current life while writing this book.
The book details my life, my travels to Hawaii and Washington DC and ultimately my arrest just blocks from our nation’s capital. Most of it is true, some of it is fictitious, can't put it all out there might get into more trouble.
Anyway, from 1999 to 2008 I was in a Federal Prison for Conspiracy to Distribute Fifty (50) grams or more of Methamphetamine, 21 U.S.C. 846. For all of you not familiar with Federal lingo - that means I went to prison for ten years for selling drugs, but when arrested I did not have drugs on me, the federal government did not find drugs at my home, nor did they have any solid evidence that I sold drugs. Just the testimony of others who used or sold drugs saying that is what I did. So if you think selling drugs is a way out of your current life situation - it is - just maybe not the way out you hope for.
I have made the most of my time while in the free world. In 2012, I graduated with Honors from Los Angeles Trade Technical College with my A.A. in Culinary Arts. This May, I walked the stage at the Home Depot Center and accepted my Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology, with Honors. I recently, September 2017, completed, along with my awesome classmates, my, alcohol and other drug (AOD) certification classes in Santa Ana. Soon I take the State Exam.
I must admit, school can get rough at times, but I stay focused on the future. With my accomplishments, I’ve realized that I must help others that have been in my situation. I now work in recovery, for an amazing company, and it gives me great sense of hope to able to guide those in need. I can be there for guidance, direction, and support. More importantly, I will let them know that if I can do it, they can do it, as well.
I will be blogging about everyday activities in my life, my views on what is happening around me and of course school. I hope you will add your comments, as well. I invite you to add your comments and views, after all, that is what blogging is all about. So visit:
